A few weeks ago I posted a seafood and spinach quiche on my Facebook page. I received many inquires about the recipe but never sent it to anyone. Many thought I was being stingy the truth is I didn't feel like typing all that from my phone. It's very rare that people use their home computers for Facebook. So I'm going to share my little quiche recipe.
Now listen I don't mind making this for you as long as you do know that I do expect some sort of monetary payment. Society seems to think because I enjoy cooking that I should do it for free. NO ma'am and no sir. I can't take your gratitude and happiness to the grocery store and tell them that's what I plan on paying them with. I'm sure you would pay the others for whatever you consume. Let's start putting money back into our friends and community pockets. You can't expect them to keep creating art, food, drinks and fashion for you for free.
If you would like to alter the recipe go right ahead. I know many of us are counting calories or don't like certain things.
1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
3 eggs beaten (I have used 4 before )
1/2 cup of milk
1 cup of crap meat
1 lb of shrimp
1/2 cup of Swiss cheese
1/2 cup of cheddar cheese
1/2 cup of chopped green onions
1/2 cup of spinach
1 (9 inch) unbaked pie crust (I used a deep dish pie shell because I added more ingredients then what my original recipe called for.)
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C)
- In a medium bowl, beat together eggs, mayonnaise, flour and milk until thoroughly blended.stir in crab, shrimp, cheese and onion. Spread into pie shell.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean
